FAQ’S

What do I get for submitting creative work?
  • Free publicity and a link back to your artist website. Opportunity to be a part of a national and global conversation on a critical topic of humanity.
Who retain copyrights?
  • You retain all copyrights to your work. When you submit work, we will feature your work on our website, in a gallery or virtual gallery to share with the world. We will always credit you and link back to your artist website.
  • Additionally your work may appear in the background of event photos we take at our events, including virtual events. This is distinctly different than reproducing your work on its own, which we do not do.
  • Occasionally if we like your work and would like to use it for an event flyer or postcard we will contact you for permission to use it and it’s up to you whether to grant permission at that time.
Do you charge entry fees for your shows and events?
  • At this time our events are free of charge.
  • We believe in doing good and giving back to our community and so, we may partner with a cause or non-profit who may have a presence at the event with a donation table.
What happens if my work is accepted?
  • Your work will be showcased on our website.
  • For a virtual art show, it would additionally be showcased in a virtual gallery and/or a live virtual art opening via video conference call.
  • For an in-person art show, it would be showcased in a physical space, a gallery, a cafe, a repurposed creative space, etc. This will differ from show to show.
What happens if my work is not accepted?
  • We’re sorry we can’t accept all submissions due to not meeting submission guideline or late submissions.
  • We celebrate all works of art while being as democractic and as PG-13 friendly as possible so more people can share and view each other’s work as a community.
  • Please don’t take it personally and absolutely try again next time or create your own independent show (which we encourage everyone to take on!)
What's your philosophy working with professional vs amateur artists?
  • We believe everyone is an artist, and when we say artist we also mean poets, musicians, actors, writers, fashion designers and all forms of creative expressions.
  • We love seeing works of art by kids next to works of art by professionals. We believe all insights into being human can be remarkable regardless of age or years of creative practice. We have categories in our visual gallery where you can optionally see specific kinds of creative work. We also highly encourage you support our professional artists by visiting their site, purchasing creative work or commissioning them.
  • To the professionals: We want you to know that we ourselves are artists and creatives. We believe in paying artists and artists being paid. At this time Soul Tech Art Collective (STAC) is a passion side project run on 100% volunteer hours. As professional creatives, we invite you to share a piece or two with us. We’re a community of artists not a gallery. Although STAC is not a vehicle for artist revenue at this time, it doesn’t mean we are not open to it in the future. In the meantime, when you share your work you will be credited, provided a link back to your artist site, and if you are in one of our shows definitely put our show on your CV.
Why must my work be PG-13?
  • We have intentionally decided that our space would be for as many people of all ages and expressions as possible. In order to do so we chose to go with the 95th percentile and most common denominators. What this means is: we keep work showcased to movie rating PG-13 so our young artists can also participate.

About Soul Tech Art Collective

We are a group of artists who support artistic expression in all forms. We seek to explore, highlight and celebrate the humanity in technology and art. With the rapid development of robotics, artificial intelligence, big data, a hyper connected world and more, we believe it’s critical to keep asking ourselves what makes us human. Our upcoming virtual show is in response to our global condition: Pandemic & Resilience.
